I started with the company initially with the Grand Opening of Taco Medic Frankton in 2020, just after the first lockdown. When I started I was hired as a line cook and then during the first week was told that, nah mate, you’ll be a grill chef with us, so I did that for 2 months. After that they started cross training me with the other sections and then promoted me to a senior team member, then to a Kitchen Manager. Now I have transitioned to Auckland and am running the one of the newest taquerias in Ponsonby as the Taqueria Manager. Taco Medic is a great place to learn a lot about a business. I can easily related what I do at work to what I studied, and the team culture is fun and energetic!

I started working as a Front of House in the Searle Lane taqueria back in 2018 and absolutely loved getting to connect with customers. Then I learned how to craft all of the tacos and roll tortillas to get a deeper understanding of the operations as a chef. Before my one year anniversary I put my hand up for an open position in the Head Office as the Marketing + Sales Manager which has been my role for the past 3 years now. It’s been such an incredible experience growing in such a fun and visionary environment, every day we’re learning and growing together and just having a bloody good time doing it.
